... in the world. Nigel’s blend of financial training and marketing acumen, combined with 16+ years of pricing-focused pharma industry experience, has made him a recognized leader in the field of pharmaceutical pricing strategy.
Prior to forming PriceSpective, Nigel had 13 years’ experience in top tier pharmaceutical companies, principally focused on pricing and reimbursement strategy development. During this tenure, culminating as Group Director, Global Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy for GlaxoSmithKline, he developed and managed pricing and reimbursement strategy for a significant number of products. Additional previous roles include Global Product Director and Associate Director of Strategic Planning. This complementary experience provides Nigel with a broad business-based perspective to ensure P&R strategies are developed cohesively in the context of product and company strategy.
Nigel sub-specializes in the development of pricing process and analytical/educational frameworks for pharmaceutical pricing, and is a frequent lecturer on the subject in both industry and academic settings. He is primary author of the widely acclaimed 2005 Nature article, “Pricing Medicines: Theory and Practice, Challenges and Opportunities”.
Nigel has a BA (Hons) in Business Administration with French from Loughborough University in England, and has post graduate qualifications as both a UK Chartered Accountant and a US Certified Public Accountant. He received a certificate in Health Economics from the University of Aberdeen, and has accreditation in pricing.

...Additional experience in marketing strategy and market research help him to relate closely with the corporate needs of our clients. Steve has been a leader in the field of pharmaceutical pricing for the past 15 years. This experience includes leadership and development of the US pricing practice for Cambridge Pharma Consultancy, followed by the initiation and management of a West coast (US) consulting business for IMS Health which specialized in biotech and specialty product launch planning. Previously he held the position of Director, Global Pricing and Reimbursement at Pharmacia Corp (Now Pfizer). In this role, he was responsible for the global price planning process and implementation of pricing strategies at the market level. During additional assignments with Eli Lilly and Merck, he held positions in pricing, marketing and sales. He was also the leader of several international launch teams. As a result, Steve has been at the forefront of launching some of the most successful products in the industry.
During the past seven years, Steve has further developed his experience as a consultant specializing in the commercialization of new pharmaceutical products. Steve is currently the business lead for PriceSpective and a key contributor on key client projects. He and his team have completed over 200 successful client projects and are responsible for providing advice on both domestic and global policies.
He holds B.Sc. degrees in international business and marketing. In addition, he has secured a Masters of Business Administration.

Keiron Sparrowhawk co-founded PriceSpective in 2003 and established PriceSpective’s UK office in London. He is responsible for the growth of PriceSpective in Europe, leading over 100 projects across a wide range of therapy and policy areas and in building client relationships with over 50 Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Biotech companies.
He has over 30 years of industry and consulting experience and is recognized as a global expert in drug pricing, reimbursement and market access and is often called upon to write and present on the industry.
Before founding PriceSpective he worked with major international pharmaceutical companies, culminating with GSK in 2003 where he was Group Director, Global Pricing and Reimbursement Strategy. During this time he was the industry representative on the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to the OECD. He has worked closely with US, European and International countries on operational issues (e.g. trade, referencing, PPRS) and on the implementation of regional policies and strategies.
His career began in R&D and in turn went through Project Management, Global Marketing and Global Finance before starting a pricing role in 1990. He has a BSc Hons, an MSc, a Diploma in Management Studies, an MBA and a Certificate in Health Economics.
He has several publications to his name, including the 2005 Nature article, “Pricing Medicines: Theory and Practice, Challenges and Opportunities”.

Prior to this, he founded and was Director of IMS Emerging Biopharma, where he provided strategic and tactical assistance to development-stage biopharmaceutical companies in support of their commercialization and valuation processes. Previously, Ted was Vice President, IMS Management Consulting, US West, helping lead a team of consultants in a broad range of commercial strategy engagements. Before accepting that position, he had been Vice President with Cambridge Pharma Consultancy in both New York and San Francisco, focusing on value proposition development and US and global and pricing and reimbursement strategy. He has been directly involved in over 100 consulting engagements for a variety of established and developing companies in over three dozen therapy areas
Before joining IMS, Ted worked as an internal consultant in issues analysis for Pfizer’s Corporate Affairs department, on topics including Medicare reform, international pricing policy, and corporate branding. He then moved into Pfizer’s business intelligence function, focusing on the strategic positions of key in-line and pipeline products.

He has worked within a variety of healthcare industries with direct employment experience in pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, PBM and clinical research organizations. His diverse background ensures his consultations consider a full range of market dynamics and are relevant for various client stakeholders.
Ken joined PriceSpective from InVentiv Healthcare where he was a member of the Creative Healthcare Services consulting division responsible for commercial problem solving for a variety of pharmaceutical clients. Prior to InVentiv, Ken worked at Merck & Company for over seven years where he held various positions in managed care marketing and brand marketing in both the pharmaceutical division and in Merck’s Vaccine Division.
Prior to Merck, five years at Eli Lilly and PCS (now Caremark) allowed Ken to develop core skills in pricing, managed care marketing, and sales. His work included being a member of a consulting team from Lilly that was charged with developing a new business model and product portfolio for PCS in the prescription benefit management business. In this role, Ken helped develop, price and sell the initial forms of what are now commonly accepted managed care intervention products.
Additional experience as Vice President of Business Development at PharmaLinkFHI allowed Ken to gain valuable experience within a clinical research organization and his five years at Johnson & Johnson consumer products rounds out his broad experience in healthcare.
Ken holds a bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from Lehigh University, and he received his MBA from Duke University.

Catherine worked in the pricing strategy consulting arena for Cambridge Pharma Consultancy (now IMS Health Consulting) for nearly 7 years, with time spent in both the UK and US offices. As a consequence she has a strong understanding of the pricing, reimbursement and healthcare systems of key global markets, knowledge of a broad range of therapy areas and a solid grounding in qualitative and quantitative market research techniques.
During her tenure there, she worked on diverse projects including global pricing and reimbursement strategy development, value proposition and pricing and reimbursement dossier development, price referencing and parallel trade modeling, forecasting, war gaming, scenario planning and pricing and reimbursement processes consulting.
Prior to joining PriceSpective, Catherine spent two years at Bristol-Myers Squibb with responsibility for UK Pricing and Market Access. In that time she worked on the pricing of three launch products and four line extensions, and wrote the budget impact elements of four Health Technology Assessment (HTA) submissions (both for the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) and the Scottish Medicines Consortium (SMC)). Her time in both consulting and the industry has enabled her to develop a strong understanding of the multifunctional approach that is necessary to support the successful launch of a product and the necessity for early consideration of pricing and reimbursement issues. Catherine holds an Honours Degree in Applied Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool which involved a year working as a laboratory researcher for Hoffmann-La Roche in Basel, Switzerland.

... Bob has built a track record of scientific rigor, strategic insights, and organizational leadership in healthcare. Over the last 10years, Bob has focused on the global pharmaceutical industry, gaining roles of increasing impact in health economics consulting and in pharmaceutical industry. With a career spanning policy research, international development, academics, industry, and consulting Bob has the expertise to to identify, build and support the economic value of biopharmaceutical products from the very earliest stages of development to loss of exclusivity.
Before establishing PriceSpective’s health economics practice, Bob was part of Amgen's Global Health Economics team where he served as the therapeutic area head for inflammation, the global payer lead and global health economics lead in oncology and was the program lead for an EMR-based registry capability for oncology. Prior to Amgen, Bob was the director of outcomes research at Cerner LifeSciences and a research fellow at the RAND Corporation. He also currently holds an academic appointment at the University of California, Los Angeles. Bob received his BS in engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, an MS in engineering from the University of Texas-Austin, and a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from the RAND Graduate School.

... built strong relationships with US Payers across several channels including commercial, government, and hospital. In addition, hisexperience spans account management, payer marketing, pricing, and contracting. Steve has had the opportunity to build several managed care teams, develop policies, and lead many successful launches. For the past 10 years Steve had held escalating management roles and lead the managed markets groups for both Vertex and Amylin. His pharmaceutical experience includes strategic planning, payer marketing, sales, sales management, account management, pricing, contracting, and distribution. Within these roles he has developed extensive knowledge in brand planning, payer customer segments and across multiple disease states. Steve has enjoyed building departments, leading and developing people, working within matrix organizations, and creating collaborative environments.
Steve’s strategic planning efforts include retail, non-retail, and specialty products. He has built the foundation for payer access across several fronts that have grown to functional departments including pricing and contracting, patient assistance program, health outcomes, and managed care liaison team. In addition, he has disease state experience in women’s health, anti-infectives, respiratory, diabetes, hepatitis, and CF. Steve is a member of AMCP, HDMA, NACDS, and ISPOR. Steve holds a BS of Finance with an emphasis in biology from the University of Iowa.

Prior to joining PriceSpective, Dan worked as the Director in charge of the global life sciences licensing and valuation practice. Prior to joining Simon-Kucher & Partners, Dan consulted many medium-to-large life sciences companies as a member of the Covance Market Access Services team. Before Covance, Dan worked in Global Business development and Licensing for Novartis International AG in Basel, Switzerland. Dan began his career in health care by completing three years in health care investment banking with Citigroup/ SalomonSmithBarney, working in both New York and London
Dan received a M.B.A. from Stanford University's Graduate School of Business and earned his bachelors degree from San Diego State University in Business Administration with an emphasis on Management.

Global and European Pricing in Glaxo Wellcome, SmithKline Beecham and GlaxoSmithKline, and has experience of product pricing at all stages of the product life cycle: pricing input to development compounds, development and implementation of launch price strategies, reimbursement support and management of in-market prices both before and after patent expiry.
Stuart has a background quantitative data analysis and statistical modeling having worked as an operational research analyst within the pharmaceutical industry. In this role he worked on projects in most areas of the industry including manufacturing, distribution, finance, marketing and R and D. In addition to general pharmaceutical pricing expertise he specializes in using quantitative analysis and modeling in support of pricing decisions, including reference pricing, parallel trade and forecasting.
Stuart has a degree in Mathematics from Oxford University and a Masters in Operational Research from Lancaster University.
